What is a Google Drive organizer?

A Google Drive organizer is a tool that keeps your Drive tidy automatically, rather than leaving you to rename and file every document by hand. Filently reads each document, gives it a clear consistent name, and moves it into the right folder, all inside your existing Google Drive.

How does Filently organize my Google Drive files?

Filently uses AI to read the content of each document, not just the filename. It identifies invoices, contracts, receipts and more, then creates a clear descriptive name with date and type. For example, scan_001.pdf containing an Amazon invoice becomes 2024-03_Invoice_Amazon.pdf, and the file is moved into the right folder automatically.

Is Filently safe to use with my Google account?

Yes. Filently uses Google’s official OAuth 2.0 authentication, the same secure method trusted apps use, so we never see your password. No Filently employee can read your documents. Files never leave Google’s infrastructure, no copies are stored, and your data is never used to train AI models. Filently is CASA Tier 2 certified and GDPR compliant.

Do my files leave Google Drive?

No. Filently works inside your existing Google Drive. There is no migration and no external storage. Documents are processed and filed in place, and nothing is copied out of Google’s infrastructure.

What types of documents can Filently organize?

PDFs, Office documents (DOCX, XLSX, PPTX), Google Docs, Sheets and Slides, OpenDocument formats, and scanned or photographed documents (JPG, PNG, TIFF, HEIC) such as receipts. If a file contains text Filently can read, it can name and file it.

How is this different from Google Drive's built-in features?

Google Drive is great for storage and sharing, but it does not organize files for you. You still rename documents and move them by hand. Filently adds the intelligence: it reads documents, understands what they are, names them clearly, and files them, which also makes Drive’s search far more useful.
